Hydronephrosis
This is a complex set of issues that can start during pregnancy. Your antenatal scan might show some swelling of the kidney, and will need further investigation. Most of the time, the problem resolves, and sometimes the kidney gets blocked, and may require surgery.
Hydronephrosis
Hydroureter / megaureter
The reason for the ureter to be dilated / swollen can be from some reflux of urine back to the kidney, or from a partial blockage at the bladder. Sometimes it was a problem and no longer, so remains a little baggy.
